Help with fitting a Patriot lock

Since 2015 as a renter, since 2024 as an owner
We've not long returned home with our first van, but I cannot fathom out just how to fit the Patriot bike lock I have bought.
It is my understanding I need to drill a hole in the baseplate, which is no problem; but just where.

The driver's seat does not rotate 180°, just as far as this...

Am I correct in thinking that I drill a hole in the baseplate about here?....

then push the mushroom bolt through the hole from beneath, and into the housing, thus?...

which will then prevent the seat from being twisted back around to a forward facing position?

Yes all correct. I fitted a 2" plate washer under mine also because the lock is for thicker brake disc.

Do you order the short or long Shackle Pin when fitting to the Seat Base, thanks Chris.

Just received from 'Infinity' fitted it , good Deterrent 👍
