Help! Mobile MH electric engineer needed pls

Disgusting lowlife. Devastating to see. Once sorted, I would definitely move the van somewhere else and possibly pursue a claim against the storage facility. Hope it’s all fixed soon.

Did the alarm not sound/work?

Good job the immobiliser did.
Yes all five sirens would have been sounding, the system sent messages to the owner, and the Non Starter shut the engine down

Sadly it seems that the storage site security was lax or non existent!

The damage looks dreadful but it’s mainly attacking the Growler loom, and the Fiat ignition barrel, so will be relatively cheap to rectify, certainly in comparison to the value of the whole Motorhome.

Very sad to see but a cracking advert for the efficacy of the Vanbitz alarm system. I know where I will be looking the next time I'm in the market for one.

Very sorry to see this damage thats been caused whilst in a storage site.
Can I ask which Surrey Storage Site it was?, the reason is that storage sites in Surrey are as rare as hens teeth.
We have one less that a mile from us, Its on Red Road,Camberley,Surrey, its Cassoa Silver rated, and is currently fully booked with a waiting list, which is surprising when you learn how much their storage fees are:eek:
I made enquires a few years back about storing our then caravan, the gates to the site are open all day, but closed at night. This is to allow vehicles to be picked up and delivered to a local Audi Franchise.
I walked in through the gates, during the day to make an enquiry as I pass it every day, I walked around trying to find someone in charge, I even had the chance to have a gander at all the caravans & motorhomes, including large RV's that are stored there, before giving up and driving out back home.
I then gave the site a call, they answered and I was told to pop down next day for a price list. I did this but decided at those costs, the risks to having our then new caravan either stolen or broken into with the entrance open all day not worth the risk or the fees.
They say they have CCTV, but I bet it doesnt work, they are quite simply money grabbers, without a conscience it would seem.
PS: we eventually stored our van under cover in a big warehouse, down in North Devon, run by a lovely family, it was really secure Gold Cassoa rated, and half the price of the Camberley one.
All vans must be fully insured against loss, and you have to hand in a copy of the insurance before they will store your van, which makes perfect sense. No one is allowed to access any of the stored vehicles, they will arrange to either drive or tow your vehicle outside the storage facility and park it up on a pitch before your arrival.

Eddie said "Sadly it seems that the storage site security was lax or non existent !" which is a good point because when one of his alarms go off and you don't hear it you are either (A) not in the vicinity (B) Deaf (C) Dead.Or a combination of the 3 !
I hope your son gets it all sorted out soon without much stress.

In the interim till its fixed it may be worthwhile to disconnect the battery.
