Firstly thanks to all who have given suggestions/help on here, it's been a very useful thread to us.

We've gone through all the options and have decided to give a generator a go, we've bought a Briggs & Stratton P2200 generator ... got a great Amazon warehouse deal on it - said it was 'used' with a damaged box so we decided to take a chance on it as Amazon stuff can be returned if needs be without hassle.

When it arrived it hadn't even been opened and still had the plastic' bands' round it, so was brand spanking new, just the box was a bit chewed up.

We've looked at loads and checked out lots of reviews for various makes/types and this seems to have a good reputation, mainly sold in America but fully supported in the UK.

Well pleased!

Also got a wheeled crate from the car boot sale a week ago which it fits in perfectly so even more pleased!

There's an Amazon link below the picture but if you're got your ad-blocker on you won't be able to see it.

Having read the reviews on the B&S and looked at the stats, spec etc, it's actually supposedly one of the quietest ones, as the casing is slightly larger than the new Honda EU22i (replacement model for the EU20i, both the same physical size) I suspect it has a bit more insulation in it to help with the sound proofing. As we'll be very considerate when we need to use it I hope we won't upset anyone ... certainly no worse than having a camper engine running to charge the batteries.

Hi All,
I just thought I would change the post as I don't know how to do it. I have a Hymer BM640 Starline 1997. Everything is fine but for the mucky looking seats. The fabric of the cushions is in very good condition but dull and dirty. I've tried several specialist spray cleaners made for the job but no difference. Does anybody know of specialist's who could get the seat cushions back like new. I'm worried about using strong cleaners in case they ruin the foam base or the fabric. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
You're not likely to get much response jumping in with a totally different subject. If you go to the top of the page just above the title of this thread there is a long blue line which says where you are, this one is in Motorhome Chat. At the beginning of that line is Forums, click or touch that and it will open the list of Forums click on the most suitable, probably Motorhome Chat for this question would be OK. A new page will open and at the end of the same blue line at the top there is a darker blue button "Post New Thread" touch this and you have started your own thread. There may be other ways but this is the easiest. If you go to the home page there is a help page which will walk you through it. Hope you get an answer to your problem.
