Is it just a question of letting the gas pipes discharge the air in them to let them fill up with gas and then light the hob/fridge etc

Whereabouts are you? It’s not freezing cold is it? Perhaps gas not vaporising?

Hi guys update Lenny HB talked me through what he could it was decided there no buttons 🤷‍♀️ as it is piddling down here and it got dark the consensus was possible regulator

Then whilst we were doing that got message from Basildog to give him a call

So looks like it's could be a regulator falt but to check that the pipes have to come off

It's very tight and I'm not confident to diy it. As many know I'm good taking apart but not putting back together

So it's cup of tea on back up stove and decide weather to drive home tonight

I will keep you all updated and thanks for the help

I look like a drown rat and soaked to my drawers. But that too much information

Than you and have a good evening .Charlie's said don't worry it's all under guarantee

Hope yr soon sorted, Lois, xx
Thanks it's more frustrating but at least it happened now not in Ireland my mean going north instead of west. It was not set in stone.

I just find it amazing how brilliant funsters are when your in trouble 😍

At least it’s not freezing tonight so stay where you are and wrap up in everything with you. Good thing you have a backup stove. Take care.

I agree it warms your heart ❤️

Now if Lenny HB knew as much about electricity as he does about Gas he would be the guy to ho to that always gives good advice. (Hope you know I am being ironic Lenny) I do follow Northernraider threads 😊

You could also drop into 3 A’s in Carmarthen. Bit expensive but may sort your problem.

There is also a highly rated LPG distributor in Carmarthen. The guy there knows his onions. Not used him myself but i have been informed that he is very good.

Hi, could be a stuck regulator, LPG can contain a greasy residue that gums up the reg. If thats the case (2 person help) whilst trying to light say the hob, give the gas regulator a sharp tap with a block of wood or rubber mallet.

Sharp tap ONLY. Oh and bottles on.

When you got system fitted did they fit a new regulator?

All the pictures suggest a lower than ideal position so doubt Autogas would fit it like that.

Yes she had a new regulator fitted, I've had a chat with Charlie it was the highest they could get the regulator in the small compartment it's level with the top of the bottles. Charlie (Autogas 2000) also thinks it's the regulator.

Well done Lenny, as always, going the extra mile to provide assistance and share your years of knowledge to get a fellow funster out of an hole.

Well done. Derry

The LPG distributor is called Cymru Autogas and I can see that another Funster has shared the contact details for 3As.

I hope you get it sorted.

Update

Today was the fist day van and me have been in the same location and relatively dry to look at it.

I followed Charlie's instructions to the letter and so far not blown up me or the van

That's the good news Charlie Basildog has been brilliant he's taken control and sorted it

A mobile gas fitter is coming out on Wednesday to change the regulator that Charlie is sending down to me.

They are now liaising to ensure the correct parts

The service from Autogas 2000 has been 2nd to none.

The local guy that is coming out is the one recommended on the thread https://www.motorhomefun.co.uk/forum/threads/welsh-gas.298249/post-6012119

So it's another win for Funsters and the great guys that help to keep our vans going with trusted recommendations

Thank you all for suggestions and help I have now dried off and the rain had stopped

So, are you sorted now. It sounds like the kind of problem that we all might encounter at some time?

Should be sorted Wedesday morning the issue is i now have at my request 2 x 6kg bottles in a gas box made for 2 x 3.9kg so it's rather snug.

Charlie thought I may be able to do it but because of where the Intel pipe is and it having gas in it I was not confident in my ability not to blow the van up.

Got a mobile gasman coming out to do it

Charlie spoke to him direct so they could talk in gasman language

Autogas 2000 has been brilliant along with supportive funsters

I will update on Wednesday fingers crossed its dry weather

Good to hear that you are getting there.

Best wishes for a resolution.

Final update 🤞

After a recommendation from funsters Charlie autogas2000 Basildog arranged for D S Caravan Services to come and change the regulator

It's pouring down but they got it done in the very tight space as always nothing is straightforward and they have said any issues they will come back

I cannot thank Charlie enough for all his help. It's just one of those things, and typical of my luck to get the 1 in thousands with a fault.

Thanks Funsters for all your help and recommendations . Next question is where to go on the weekend :dance2:
