Hi, we arrived Sunday the 8th in Calais with a Fulli tag which worked fine in France and Spain and the overhead gantries in Portugal, unfortunately we came to 2 toll booths and followed everyone else in the via Verdi lane but the Fulli tag didn’t beep, the second booth we noticed an amount flash up with a red light 😱 we’ve looked online and entered details but it was supposed to txt a code to enter but didn’t ? I’ve tried phoning via Verdi but after 20mins holding gave up, anyone any ideas as I don’t want a huge bill waiting when I return home ?

Don't panic, this has happened to us too.

We are currently in Portugal with a Bip&Drive. Our tag paperwork states that we should use the Via Verde lanes (maybe check yours) and we had the same experience. The toll amount was on our next invoice.

Relax and enjoy your time in Portugal

We had the same thing in Portugal beginning of this year. I just made a note of the amount that flashed up so that I could check it when the invoice came through from Fulli.

Be aware as well that Spain & Portugal only invoice Fulli once a month, so you won't get any charges showing on your Fulli account until week 1 or 2 of the following month.

The tag does not beep at the V lane on entry, on exit amount comes up very briefly again no beep. Beeps on the overhead gantries

Stop worrying, it's fine. We have Fulli tag and what you experienced is normal.

Takes about a month for debit to appear on any statement, so just relax.

When we crossed the border on the E80/IP5/A25 9 why do they have three names for the same road?!)there was a pull in signposted for foreign vehicles that we stopped at. There was a Dutch car in the only open lane for ages and he was talking to someone on the intercom. Eventually he drove off.
We then tried to register but it wouldn’t work either. We also called on the intercom to be told that the machines were broken and that we should stop at the next petrol station and get a card there. Since there was a petrol station beside the machines we said we would go there and were told No - go to the next petrol station. So we did and asked for a card. The guy then told us he didnt sell them and this was a free road anyway..
What a stupid, shambles of a ‘system’ they have here.
Apart from that we are having a great time in Portugal and look forward to arguing about fines when we get home..

Update
Hopefully we’ve now received all our December toll cost from Fulli 🤞 this may help anyone who might be wondering what the toll costs might be.

From Calais to irun €101.60
From irun to Portuguese border near Fuentes de onero €21.82
From Portuguese border to Foz do Arelho then down to algarve at Olhao €65.75
