HELP! clean water tank leaking (16 Viewers)

Filled internal fresh water tank until overflow was running then noticed a slow drip under van near the drain pipe. 2 days later and still dripping and 1/4 tank leaked out.
It's not coming from the drain pipe itself.
(The van has had a long unexpected layup without any water in.)
The tank has one of these new fangled drain down devices with a knob/wheel at the top and an internal rod that activates the valve at the base.
Supposed to be quarter turn to leave 25% full. Further turns to empty completely.
I suspect that where this device is fitted to the bottom of the tank that the sealing rubber washer is what is actually at leaking. There's no water coming down the drain pipe with the mechanism closed
Does anyone have a diagram of this type of drain down devices they can share with me???
There does not seem to be any internally visible means of tightening the base of the device to the base of the tank.
Anyone had any success with these super new sealants that are claimed to work underwater???
Else it dismantle the furniture around the tank in order to get it out to get a new rubber washer into the bottom of the tank.
Any other ideas???

Like another poster I've struggled to find the right words to describe this. But when I've tried to close the valve after draining the tank by turning the circular wheel that connectrs to the valve/plug athe bottom of the tank it is jammed and won't turn one way or another. I can't find online...

Maybe a foreign body stopping the seal from working. Open it and let some water flush thru.

Just what I was looking for.
It's on a 'built by adria' sun living pvc.
The valve is not leaking it's the seal either side of the tank hole.
Can't get to it to tighten it up so it's dismantle interior to get the tank out.
Don't you just love the way things are built without a thought for repairs.

Check its not leaking from the water pump, the drain is also near the pump could be one of Adrias bad batch of fittings

Having read through the previous threads on removing the bung mechanism I can confirm having tried that the bottom bung will definitely not just lift/pull out (at least not on this tank).
Few days away cancelled and returning home to dismantle the furniture and removed the tank (bu§§er).
Maybe replace the whole assembly with a tank connector and an expanding bung or a cork is the easiest solution (that's what was in our last adria).
At least this will get a good seal at the base of the tank.
Perhaps an external tap attached to the tank connector might be slightly more professional solution but one more thing to go wrong. KISS!

Just in case anyone finds this by searching for a solution to a similar problem. This is what I did.
Took all of this side furniture base out. Fortunately it came out in one piece.

The tank was just sitting on the floor held loosely in place by the furniture. Just disconnected the pipes and electrics. Had already cut away all the silicone around the drain underneath the van.

This is what may have caused the problem. Manufacturing fault where hole on van floor not in correct place.

These are the bits that allow the tank to drain. Although the manual talks about being able to leave 25% of water in tank they obviously forgot to fit that bit.

The leak was between the rubber washer and the bottom of the tank 1st pic. The big nut had become loose.
Looking up from underneath the drain now central to enlarged hole rather than jammed in against the metal as it was beforehand.

Another day of my life I'll never get back!
