Hello from Manchester

More memories, I used spend time in the summer with an aunt who lived on Derby Road. Used to walk all round that area. Up to the park.

I hardly recognise the place these days.

I was a member of shooting club that had an outdoor range on the banks of the canal towards Hope Hospital.

Born on Tootal Drive not far from Hope Hospital, used to play football on the playing fields opposite the hospital, now all car parks.
Spent the first 18 years around there until i hot married.

I used to go to that shooting club in the old quarry off eccles new road in the 80's.

I can't remember the club now. I was so keen in the 60s I was in 3 clubs at once, I shot nearly every night.

I remember the range though, there was an outdoor section and a large hut with 20 yard range.

Another was behind a hotel in Altrincham.
