I just love motorhomes that can carry motorbikes, that was the main reason i bought the one i did, do you find if sleeping in there with the bike you get the odd whiff of petrol?

I always take the fuel cans out and put under van. And when I am driving, I always leave a rear window open to let any fumes out.

No problems so far

Looks like a really good job, as long as it works for you, that's it, but I think that the upholstery would give me migraine.!

hope theres more insulation in the walls than theyve put on the floors and it might just be the pictures but the carpet lining looks a bit ragged on the sides of the back doors

There's plenty of insulation and it's roasty toasty

Never noticed that rough carpet, so must just be the effects of the flash.

Just looked and it's gone now anyway

My racing days were back in the 80s against McKenzie and co.

Mine also,, bloody hell:Doh: , i was only 16 when i started with a 350lc in 1981. packed it in at 20 and on a TZ350,,, due to miners strike and having no money. Hard to believe it was 30 years ago.
My brother won the marlboro series in 1985 and won a TZ 250 L.
Yorick, have you not been to the racers bash at louth every november, i think it is into it's 27th year now.

Who was your brother ? I remember Dave Leach won it in 1983? And the lad who won it in 1984 died later ???

My mate Dave Crampton goes to the Louth bash sometimes, but I've always missed out somehow

My brother is Dean Askin.. I too remember Dave Leach winning it,he is a local lad (sort of) from halifax.
Mick Crick won it in 1982 and won that bloody armstrong rotax, very unreliable. He hasn't changed a bit. seen him at louth bash a couple of years ago.
I can't remember who won it in 1984 everyone thought my brother had got because he won the last round at silverstone on both the 250 & 350 (back when it was a proper racing circuit).

Aha, so you are Louis Askin, I remember you both. My name is Craig Walker and shared a van with Dave Crampton.

I dabbled at the front with you 2 a few times, but not always

All them years ago, stupid youths, hurtling around Cadwell without a care in the world.
Sometimes winning. Sometimes chucking ourselves at the scenery.

Then 30 years later, chatting on a Motorhome forum
