Hello, our Arto has just sailed through it’s annual service - not bad for nearly 20 years old! The only thing mentioned was one LED missing from the high level break light. There are heavy showers today and i noticed a patch appear underneath the driver’s window - rain had been pouring off the roof and channelled by the awning toward this front corner, but I don’t recall having seen this before. The outside seals are in good condition - does anyone know why this patch has appeared and what I could do about it…

I was advised that the adhesive used on windows does not fully set. This allows you to nip up the fixings on the windows and hopefully stop you water ingress.
Hope this helps
If not you could try Captain Tolleys Creeping Crack Cure. But use it sparingly.

but it has, so A&E leisure body shop are going to take out the window and frame, clean and resell… 5 hrs labour at the end of may so lets see it that stops the water ingress.

Have you checked that the drains from the window runners are clear to outside ? heavy rain can find it's way inside and needs to drain away.

Hi funflair, yes the gutters are clear, I’ve also resealed the external rubbers around the glass, so this is the next option. Keeping fingers crossed that this solves the issue in an otherwise fantastic van!

Hi, a good job at A&E - side window removed, cleaned up the bonding area and resealed. This was a Friday. The body shop then rang to say that the window is fully bonded (no screws or clips) so could i collect on Saturday to give more time for the sealant to go off. Very neat job outside and in, £220 + vat.
