Heat on the move

Our Merc based Rapido uses the engine water system to allow a fan in the hab area to be used on the move ?
So does ours, even with the Fiat! I can’t see why more converters don’t add this feature, money I suppose,it’s not generally on anyone’s list of “must haves” but we would miss it.

Hi everyone, just wondering if I can travel with the blown air on while travelling, van is a Auto trail Imala 730 with a truma c/p which has electric 1 and electric 2 and a setting for a mix not that I would travel with the gas on, tried it the other day but nothing , anyone got any thoughts on this.

Why wouldn't you travel with the gas on?

On Imalas the 12v power is disabled when the engine starts. The blown air is 12v powered, so no you cannot run it when travelling.
With a bit of doctoring - yes you can?

Easily By-passed.

We always travel with the fridge on gas and if cold with the heater on gas, obviously if we need to fill up with fuel the gas gas is turned off.
