I came through Belgium Lux Germany Austria Italy , took boat from venice to Igomenitsa ! No tolls far less diesel great roads , little traffic .
Drove down the coast from Igomenitsa right down the peleponisos , paid tolls in greece but the roads are empty , my Greek mate said it,s because the people can, t afford the fuel ! In a small mini market I paid for some beers and a pack of water with a 50euro note and the girl said we dont see many 50s round here these days .

I,m on Naxos in the kyclades at present funny weather for time of year huge storms , much needed rain , I hope I can get off on the 2nd more storms promised .
Yesterday I drove 25klm through mountains IN the clouds could only see 20 yards slow going hairpin bends etc good fun reminded me of driving british motorways in autumn !

Been living here 27 years I can,t remember this much cloud rain. And wind at this time of year usually the odd thunderstorm but then clear again ! But I,m not complaining it hardly rained at all last winter the islands are parched so its good news apart from boat cancellations .

When we woke yesterday morning the strong winds had passed and the sea was calm.
We took another walk along the promenade again and saw three turtles in the distance.
We decided to continue our journey north and have come to Parga and are staying at CC48060.
The town has a Venetian castle

When we were there 3 years ago in September Greece had their worst storm for a hundred years. A lot of the coastal roads the edges of them were washed away.

The problem with the distant turtles David is they pop just their tiny little heads above the water for about 2 seconds.That’s why there are no photos of the distant turtles
Apart from that Robert, love the photos and the updates
