He’s only gone and ripped it out.

Some control units will sound an alarm if you turn the ignition on with EHU attached but beware:
Some use the 12V from the charger to sense if mains is present so will not work if you've turned the charger off because you've installed Lithium.

It would be easy to build a warning device and connect it to the back of the fridge (where D+ and mains connections are conveniently found together).

It’s not walking into the mirrors that’s my problem. It’s doing something underneath the offending wing-nut extrusions and forgetting their presence before standing up.
I like the orange warning cloth you’ve used. 👍
It’s head height would have been better if it was lower.
but i use them to clean the solar panels so it has to stop where it is. For now.

Perhaps it would be better if moho manufacturers/converters fitted the EHU socket on the rear of the vehicle. Would reduce damage in an accidental drive-off while connected. Me, I have fitted one of those lawnmower type connecter to the lead when parked at home. Seems easier to forget the lead at home when eager to set of on a trip.

Not a bad idea, but I think those connectors are only rated for 10A.

When at home it is only running the battery charger.

Another advantage of a rear mounted socket would be making it easier to plug into a supply that is on the 'wrong' side of the van.
