HDMI socket.....

Hi, in our Rapido 650FF there is a brown cover by the main tv with "HDMI" on it and in the bedroom there is the same socket next to the 12v power socket. The HDMI middle appears to come off but I do not want to prise it off and damage it - it is tight!!

Anyone know what there is behind the cover and how it works?

I am hoping I can run a cable to loung HDMI from TV and then one from bedroom socket to another tv and watch what is on main tv in bedroom - is that asking too much?

If the main TV has an HDMI Out socket then you can use the connection provided. If you are using an external satellite box you can do the same by connecting one of the sat box HDMI sockets to the existing cabling.

Surely an HDMI is an interface between 2 components,if it's fixed socket what's the point and where is it connected too?

the point is the socket says "HDMI ready" on it but does not seem easy to open to find out what is inside....I simply wanted to know if anyone actually knew.

That's just a blanking plate over the socket box shouldn't think there is an HDMI fitted
