Wish they had some touring pitches there too as love walking to Exmouth on the beach from there - great view from their cafe too.

Do 3-4 a year off season , off to Skegness Sunday for 5 nights with freedom trail discount £58.25 .
Our son has just been to Skegness Haven albeit in a tent booked through central reservations, told they have no camping at this site when they arrived!!

Same at Perran sands last year tents banned, on the sites i have used Lakeland, ( Lakes) Blue Dolphin, Thornwick Bay (Yorkshire) both Dorset sites and Cleethorpes and Mablethorpe are the only ones that allow camping in a tent.

The Haven site, Littlesea, at Weymouth is another of my favourites.

I was going to go next week - £80 for 5 nights with ehu. Bargain.

Decided to go C&CC Oxford instead. £52 for 5 nights without ehu. (Solo with wrinklie discount)

Booked Perran Sands for 2 nights in October, £16 a night. With EHU which we don't need, but don't care at that price, son is staying in a static there, so we should have an enjoyable couple of days. Kessingland CAMC site is double that price next week. Only staying there cos we love the location.

It looks like Haven don’t do winter off season camping now, just checked and nothing until March 1st?

Just looked at Lakeland and £44 for Monday-Friday 4 nights from 18th march, £11 a night with EHU indoor swimming pool bar restaurant takeaways …bargain

The week after I’m on AL from work, Mon-Fri 25th March 4 nights is £112 at Lakeland😢

I’ve just realised that’s because Good Friday is that week

with Haven you have to pick your weeks, same as all holiday sites here or abroad ,bank holidays ,kids summer and half term breaks prices sky up. Never paid much more than a tenner a night with freedom trail !0% and a your perks pensioners discount up to 20% from my employer. They do close over winter Nov-March .we tend to use it as a base and use our bus passes to explore the areas so even though you get the play passes we don't use them much. One site not good for exploring by bus was Lakeland as its a mile and half walk to Flookburg (a cafe ,pub and post office is all that's there) and there's only one bus a day that runs to Grange over sands which you would need to get straight back or get stuck in Grange. One of the best is Hafan y Mor (old butlins at Pwllheli) which i have stretched the wallet to £15 a night all tarmac euro pitches and lots to explore in the area, the downside is the Welsh wont let you use your bus pass although if you ask you will get a discount and the best way to travel is with a daysaver.
