My mate has just opened this site. And I now have a workshop there. beautiful small site in the forest of dean.
If your looking for somewhere to go give him a try. There is a mechanics workshop there who is not expensive get work done while you explore

Yep, Wolverley on Saturday and New Forest 2 weeks later.
Happy days!
We’ve booked Wolverley for mid-July. Never been there before, and would be interested in your impression of it......?
 (y)

We have booked a tour of North Wales starting at Red Kites camping Llandeiloes - Llanberis Campsite - Lake Bala and then to a small campsite called Little Batch in Shropshire can’t wait to get away! Counting down to 10th August!

BTW excuse the spelling of Welsh towns😀

Yes, Hope Valley in the Peak District for a few days from 14th July. It seems that if you want to book a site at a weekend over the next few weeks that will be very difficult. Weekdays, the further north you go, with the exception of the most popular places, it doesn't seem to be a problem.

Were not even rally going to bother doing up a boat and probably just dump motor homing far to many going to destroy the hobby we love lot's of the new owners will be rich townay's with no idea how to act its a dead pastime to me now height barriers no pice and quite anymore just wach the bad press were going to get
bill

Booked end of August, slapton sands. Devon, few days with one of the grandkids, ::bigsmile: ::bigsmile:

I have a different view, the uk holidayers know that you cant get any sites in the school holidays because they are all booked and that's how it's been for decades
All the people who have holidays booked in the uk (from last year probably) still have their holidays because they are not cancelled so sites are already full
If you were a sun seeker holidayer then you know how the uk is during the school holidays so if you have spent £50k on a motorhome because you don't want to fly you are not planning on going to skegness
I just don't see a massive influx of people who usually go to marbella suddenly wanting to go to Barry island for 2 weeks

Yes, Hidden Valley in North Devon.

It was the third I tried.

First week in August.

Site isn't fully functional, for heath, safety reasons the toilet and wash block are closed. They are only accepting bookings from self sufficient units.
We like it there but it’s a walk or a bus to get anywhere...

Some times I think the Welsh struggle with the signs as well.
Okay getting me coat :imoutahere:

Got 4 nights from the 12th July at Daleacres club site, France the end of the year if things don't change too much.

Not read other than the OP, we are booked on a couple of non club sites, both said no vacancies on their web page, got booked on both when i phoned. so if there is an independant site anyone fancies it might be worth phoning.

Off in a couple of weeks to Berwick upon Tweed and then down to Chertsey to see our grandson. Booked on ferry to Spain at beginning of Sept for 3 weeks of hopefully Spanish sunshine!

Just arrived at Mill House CP near Chelmsford. Lots of arrivals already, 3 pitches left at the moment.

Regarding earlier comment re. the boulders at Cirencester, attached link posted on YouTube is video of entry and exit along new access road.

Sorry, message posted when I went elsewhere to copy link. Now attached.

Scary but now the video is out of date. Maybe some relevance to the the early arrivals but work to remedy the road is in hand.
Source here - an MHF thread about the road.

We’re going to Worlds End. Seems appropriate somehow.
Four nights at Worlds End Farm CMC CL.

Arrived Longleat CMC site at 1300hrs - it was already rammed full! My only guess is that as nobody was exiting they let people on (pre-arranged arrival slots, mine was 1300-1400) from the morning. All pitches were pre-allocated and as a bonus (massive trees everywhere) got a satellite signal.

IOW Appuldurcombe next week for 10 days. Birchington in August. Bagwell Farm Weymouth September. Others to follow if all remains ok.

Have fun.

You are correct on the cycling, every ride involves hills.

Have you ever dined in the restaurant?
Sadly no and it’s not open until the 10th either :(
