Android user - main menu asked me if I wanted to install. All done and great - much easier to access the Fun

I installed it using the Chrome browser, then dragged it from the Chrome apps area to my dock, there it is showing me I have 24 unread PMs

It's not essential to use it, and we make our site work really well in any browser, so its pretty much unnecessary for most But if you fancy it as an app on your phone, and want to give the app a go, feel free

I used chrome on a mac. when logged into fun Saw that little plus sign and hit install. Then I dragged the app to my dock

I have an android phone. No hamburger on it??!!

On small screens that physically cant display all the menu items, it has become common to show the menu as three horizontal lines. or three dots. this pic shows how it got the name. Two halves of a bun and the burger, whenever you see it you know a larger menu will show up when you click

Just noticed, when you open fun from the app it opens at the last page or even last post you were on.... Not the what's new page.
Makes it far easier to re-open if you close down.

Except it's not opera, it's an app, if you can see tabs and a url, you are still in your browser. If they are not present you are in our app.

Installing it on an Android tablet seems to need a different approach. On a phone the hamburger button appears but it doesn't on my tablet.

Instead, when viewing the site on a tablet look for the three dots in the top right. It's in the extreme top right just below and to the right of the + sign in the screenshot below.

If you click on this a menu will appear which will look a bit like this.

Except it won't look quite like this as I took the screenshot after installing MHF. Where you can see "Open MHFun" you should see "Add to Home screen".

Click on this and - it may not appear on the home screen, mine didn't, but an app type button did appear on the pages where all the other apps are stored. Look for "MHFun" and press, hold and drag this to your home screen, as you can see here, over the crescent moon.

In my limited trials the link seems to take you back to the page you were last viewing but if you quit out completely it goes back to the home page.

Ah yes, thank you. Top RH corner three dots, on the search engine bar not on the actual Motorhomefun page, clicked on 'add to homescreen', and there it was. Went to recheck that and one of the dot options is now 'Open MHfun' instead of 'add to homescreen'.

Edit. You work quick DBK, you did all that screenshot stuff while I only managed a few lines of text while you were posting.

Once you've selected 'add to homescreen' that option will disappear.
The other option should have the same effect as clicking the homescreen icon.

I suspect different versions of Android show a slightly different menu. Android 10 on a Samsung tablet had "Add to home screen" not "install" although all it did was install it and 8 had to add it to the home screen manually.

Android 10 on a Realme 6 phone and Android 9 on a Huawei Media Pad 5 tablet. The same silly icon on both.
