Rollerteam T590
I have a rollerteam T590 2017. I have attached a picture of the worst decal and how it has degraded. I have approached the dealer who says “It’s out of warranty, and will cost over 2K to replace all the decals that are affected”. Has anyone else had this problem and how did you fix it?

JezPort,
Have you tried Googling "Decal Globecar"? There are several suppliers of original-looking decals resembling the factory logos.
I used a rubbing of the existing decals to make a template for the black and orange stripes and made them out of vinyl. For black I used https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B0C1H1NLC9/?tag=mhf04-21 and for the orange you can use Oracal 651 Matt :- Orange Red - 047, though it's slightly brighter orange than the original.
It's quite inexpensive. Come over to Ilkley if you want to see the vinyl.

I think that the decals on many motorhomes degrade quite quickly.

The letter 'A', in front of the word Adria, on the rear of my motorhome, changed from red to white in less than two years.

The black panel in front of the roof-light above the cab has been showing signs of degradation for the last 6 or 7 years, and it is getting gradually worse.

It's only cosmetic, and is part and parcel of motorhome reality.

I put it down to UV reaction, poor materials, poor workmanship, poor manufacturing procedures, and a lack of quality control.

Same problem with our 2015 autotrail tracker. The way that it is parked at home means the nearside is in direct full sun for most of the day. That side has faded very badly, especially the large grey background. Other side still perfect. £1500 quoted from autotrail to replace all of them. Not all needed so will have to be choosy which ones to have replaced. Unless anyone has suggestions for sign maker near Hertfordshire.?

Yes. Our 2021 Globecar has slightly peeling decals on one side. It’s the side that sits in the sun when the van is at home! May or may not do something about it. If it is going to cost £700 as above, probably not.
Same on our Campscout but it's only on the side that gets the weather and it looks more like rain has got behind the vinyl and stained it. Not worth doing anything until I want to sell as I'm more concerned about the mechanics and keeping everything working well.

Can recommend Motique Plastics, Warrington (01925 767868) who printed a set for our Autotrail recently as ours were looking faded, cracked and tired. OH did a great job applying them, MH looks great.
Don’t suppose you could post a photo of the ones you had replaced? We have an Autotrail 632 Apache and need new decals too.

Cheers!

I don't think it's just RT or AT to be honest. I know ours is fading on all the silver decals. Ours is a 2015 . Ours is booked in to the vehicle and sign writing in Shrewsbury to have them replaced. Autotrail wanted £650per side of silver only!
£240 Inc fitting Shrewsbury....no brainer really. ;) (y)
Let me know how you get on please, and if you can, photo before and after would be great, because I need mine done too, thank you.

Hi Bob...We actually sold the vehicle a few months ago now having had the decals replaced for its sale.Simon from Select Motorhomes sold it for us. I was more than happy with its finish to be honest. The white decal on the lower door had bubbled and that was replaced together with the left side being done too. The bonnet silver is always a bugger to be honest. Especially if you wax it has much as I did! Think I rubbed a lot of it away!! Looked good in the end though. ;)(y)

I managed to scratch the side of my previous PVC. And the cost of repair (metallic paint) caused a sharp intake of breath!
I ended up getting the local vinyl workshop to replicate my existing decal and added it - covering the scratch. They told me at the outset that due to fading they wouldn’t be able to match the red - but they did a great job and could hardly tell.
Would recommend you try locally and bugger the dealer!
