I put one on a Ford 100E Prefect just a decade or so ago. Definitely made it go faster downhill but did'nt prevent the wipers stopping when going uphill in the rain.

I had one of them too. Indicator on the steering wheel boss. I can't remember if it had a foot operated dip switch too. Mine was the 107E four door four speed box

Yes floor dip switch. The 107E was the 105E 997cc overhead valve engine fitted into the 100E body shell as the sharp lines of the 105 were considered too much for some older buyers. The 100E was a side valve.

Easy to fit as long as you buy the right size. Only type I use now to make the wheel thicker as they are far too thin to grip well. Mine is over a leather steering wheel.

Well, as well as go faster stripes and a lace up steering wheel cover, my Anglia had a ram pipe instead of an air filter, I stretched a piece of my sisters nylon stocking over it to keep most of the crap out of the carburettor In fact here she is

Had a Ford Pop 100E in the mid 60s. It was the basic model, no windscreen washers, sun visors, not even an air filter, just a metal cover over the carb., no oil pressure light. I fitted all the above, regular visitor to the scrapyards in those days. “ yes, mate, one over there, just take off what you want and come back here”. No elf and safety in those days.
3 speed box with no synchro on 1st, as ChrisSue says, nimble feet going up hill in the rain and dark! Foot light dipper, off the go pedal to get the wipers going again. What fun!

Not diy but I had my 911 wheel recovered by Royal Wheels, cost about £150. Had.made slightly thicker and with revised leather. Superb qualityView attachment 483649

Paddles on a 996 did Royal wheels fit those as well, I fancy doing that to mine.

Not sure if a floor mounted headlamp dip switch is such a bad idea. Your left foot is just sitting there most of the time and it is one less thing to do with the hands.
I have an issue with the Boxer dipswitch, in that it is all too easy to flick it slightly up or down, which results in three flashes of the indicators. Most confusing for vehicles behind.

No, I fitted the paddles just got Royal to retrain wheel. Paddles are Mercedes very easy to fit, just need to bore out mounts in the rubber wheel hub. Much better than the buttons. I got second hand manual wheel and modified that
