Has anyone ever wired the WC to be used when driving?

The law only requies seatbelts to be worn on forward facing seats, and the blade on ours is manual.
No it doesn't! All seats on a motorhome manufactured after 2006 must have designated travel seats, and passengers are required to use them whilst travelling. Side facing seats cannot be designated as travel seats.

Errrrrr.... whats wrong with a bottle of water in an old washing up bottle to use as a flush?

The hab 12v is available all the time on my T4 based m/h. Under way we use the loo and run the roof extractor fan on hot days and the hab lights at night when getting snacks or drinks from a cupboard or the fridge.

You either don't understand the risks or you place little value on your health/life. Why take the risk when you can easily pull over and stop for 5 minutes?

the worst ones are the folk that have the black tank so thety can electrically empty it while driving down the road . the dutch and germans seem to have many that do it.

It's not possible to stop on motorways. It may be different oop North but when I'm on buses, coaches and trains I use the loo and have to move around and stand, frequently for an hour or more when commuting to London.

Because you move around on trains and buses does not mean it is safe to do so. See my post above about bus safety, and as for trains, they are simply not able to brake quickly given their weight. It is obvious to me you really don't understand the forces and dangers involved.

As for motorways, don't you realise you can pull off at a junction and find somewhere to stop? If it is an emergency, its better to pull off at a junction, then turn onto the on ramp and stop at the top of the hard shoulder.

Apologies, my reply was intended to be light-hearted and I should have included a smiley face.

Our works while driving, it's about 25ft behind me so I do have to wait for a straight bit of road (y)

You’ve obviously got cruise control then ?

How did she manage to get to age 62?!

I've had a shower in mine while on the M5 doing 65 :D toilet breaks would be a piece of cake compared to that as all you have to do is sit down :D

With my skills with electric, it would make my hair stand on end!

Once or twice a week for four years I used to get the TGV from Paris to Poitiers and stood in the buffet car with others having a coffee and a croissant at up to 300kph.
The greatest hazard was the Gauloise smoke.

What exactly doesn’t work?

we have a fully functioning macerating loo, even when driving, but don’t the rest of you just have a manual slide valve to dump?
It's British built vans David, or more specifically I believe British built by manufacturers who are members of the NCC, they cut the habitation electrics via the good old D+ signal.

I've got cruise control and an auto gearbox so I can empty the toilet while moving.
We've got cruise control and an auto box so that and a straight bit of road is fine but how do you get round the blowback from the open window? Asking for a friend...

You seem to be anti caravan manufacturer why? Most of the favoured continental greats see to build or have built caravans.
Not anti caravans well only Brit ones as they leak like sieves ( I know I've had a couple).
Brit built Motorhomes follow their caravan legacy and build them with totally undersized wiring leading to all sorts of volt drop problems, low split charge rates, fridges running inefficiently on 12v etc. And of course turning off the electrics when the engine is started

Although German manufacturers also build caravans when they started building Motorhomes they started with a clean sheet and made them fit for purpose. 12v hab electrics don't turn off when you start the engine, wiring is of the correct size so you don't get unaceptable volt drops, i.e. the fridge runs fine when on 12v, the battery gets a decent charge (25 amps plus) etc.

Thanks for reply ,I must be lucky as all of my British manufactured vans including caravans have been great . I have also on my travels encounted many continental van owners that have vans that leaked like sieves and electrical problems I suppose it's luck of the draw .?

I just set cruise control, put destination in Sat NAV then I can pop into the loo while I wait for the kettle to boil :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
