I've been to look at the water standpipe location today and there are no signs that it has been excavated and repaired since last year
The ground is completely undisturbed

Often it's just the packing gland nut that needs tightening Andy, or the packing glands need replacing. It looked quite a modern hydrant to me. Did it only leak when turned on?

Not too late at all. I will be opening the list for bookings either ne t week or the week after.
I have to confirm the availability of the site with the Council and they are dancing round their handbag at the moment as they have some development plans in process.
Knowing the speed at which the Council works i dont think the rally is in jeopardy but i just cant get them to commit to the dates yet.
If the development does go ahead it is likely this will eb the last year for the monkey hangers rally.
