Anyone else just been caught in the horrendous thunderstorm that just passed over Crowborough? Huge rain bouncing off the roof, heavy hailstones, lasted for an hour, the CCC site we are on now has a fast flowing water feature running through it!

Had a few drops of rain dripping from our roof fan, hopefully just the volume of rain.

Stay safe out there.

None in Cornwall yet but rain and thunder anticipated

Sunning myself in Kent, hot, sunny and clear blue skies 😎all change tomorrow, farewell Summer 😪

We had them earlier, horrible weather today. Prevented getting the e-bikes loaded in the MH garage ready for our trip next week.

Still nice in SW Scotland. Sadly tomorrow we must leave sunny Scotland for the soggy South.

Very loud Thunder :eek:with a heavy downpour earlier, suddenly stopped, now in lovely sunshine here in Surrey, but its all change from tomorrow they reckon.
Its been a funny old year all round weather wise, the predictable seasons just don't exist, and we all pay for it with higher prices for veg, and heating for some needed when it never used to be at this time of year.

Check the roof of your motorhome. We got caught in one in Germany years ago and there were dents all over

The bookies need to stop taking bets on a white Christmas and open a book on beating the warmest UK Christmas of 15.6 °C.

Just arrived in Cheltenham, it’s biblical , worst thunderstorm I have seen in 20 years, lots of people are going to be in deep trouble I fear🥲

Luckily it appears to have travelled North of this bit of Dorset but I think we'll get some tomorrow.

It looked like something from the end of days this morning in Surrey for about an hour, but not a drop of rain fell in the end 🤷‍♂️
Mike.

I am near Ledbury at a folkie weekend. There has been thunder, lightning and torrential rain for 2 hours!

Thankfully, I don’t have to leave here until Tuesday so the ground has got time to dry out before 50 or so Motorhomes and caravans move off the field. Plus my solar panels have had a good wash 😂

Full sun and blue skies all day again here in the west coast of Scotland. 19° today 🌞 You can keep your storms and hailstones down there please.

Had to laugh at the title as you can only get hail stones in the summer months.

We had that at Tewksbury at about 4pm for a couple of hours. Stuck trying to find a taxi to get back to the motorhome. Sat in Wetherspoons until 7:45 until we got one.

Ironically we only live 5 miles away from Crowborough. The wettest town in Sussex.
