Habitation door not locking

Now you come to mention it I did play around with the spare fobs as well - god knows what order or sequence I pressed the buttons on thiugh :)

Never mind - you fixed it - that's what matters.

Enjoy the rest of your holiday (y)

Had a similar issue, with the alarm/locking fitted on the R-V. That turned out to be due to some rodent nibbling at wires!.

I am currently away on holiday in our New Chausson 648 and today have found that the Habitation door lock is not working. It does not work with the key fob or manually using the key. When locking the door sounds as it is locking and the handle inside clicks/ moves but does not lock.
Any ideas would be great fully received, thank you.

Haven’t had this happen for a while but I think it has something to do with manually locking the had door from the inside . Stand in the van , lock with the fob , then make sure the manual lock is engaged and then unlock with the fob to see it it controls the hab door again.

Thanks, we ‘fiddled’ with the locks, locking from inside & out and tried what you suggested and it has reset the locks,
Many Thanks,
Rob

If the door is a Hartal one I think it will play up again , we have a Pilote with a Hartel door and had the same problem in Spain you will find that if you put 2 very thin washers on the contact plate on the door it will sort it ,my dealer told me not to clean the contact points with sand paper as the contacts are only chrome plated and if rubbed off they are expensive to replace .
