Swift Suntor 590RL
I have a 2006 Swift Suntor 590RL.
I have additional dead locks on my cab doors plus I ratchet strap the doors together.
My hab door however only has the converters FAP door lock.
I am looking for suggestions for an additional external security device that I could fit to the hab door to make it harder to be opened from the outside.

According to Fiamma you lock it in the open position so why are they not safe to use when you're in the van ?
Sorry what I meant was that you cannot use as added security when you are sleeping in your van, which is my primary reason for that style of lock.

Only problem with those is you cannot safely use them when you are in the van, the IMC one can and does not rely on the security of some screws to secure it to the frame.
I have no association with the company but have bought at full price the locks for my last three vans.
The pictures show the operating handle in open and locked position on my current A class, the do not rely on any part of the frame, door or fly screen to operate.
So what do they attach to, the wall ?

A previous owner added a little extra security, drilled a hole through the door latch, when the door is closed a split pin hanging on a chain is slid through the hole. No matter how hard they pull on the external door handle, even if they have managed to remove the lock barrel the latch will not unlock. Of course they can still jemmy the door open but this little trick only takes a few minutes to

embody and is cheap. As we pin it in every night I feel sure we would remember it even in an emergency evacuation. Sorry for the blurry image, bit dark at the moment, also not sure why pics in middle of text🤔.

It fixes into the side of the door frame not through the wall and I've positioned it so it covers my existing FAP hab door lock.I got it off eBay

I am fitting three Fiamma Frame fitting locks tomorrow. To hab door and each garage door. Seems straightforward enough. Got my sealant gun ready for the tiny holes that will need to be drilled in the frame.

Fitted HEOSafe cab door locks on Wednesday last. Took about 10 minutes per lock. Very easy.

The only thing now that I am looking at is an internal thumbturn catch for the hab door for when we are inside. The standard FAP door locks are so weak. Like some on this thread I have nearly no room to play with, on the door frame. All the ones I have seen don't look very robust. Anyone seen a metal one?

I did fit key operated dead locks to the cab doors as well, feel much better when we park and leave the the van unattended. The keys are security version. Care is needed, drilling and filing and accurate measurements. However they do offer a fitting service.

I've fitted a Milenco lock which locks from inside or outside for convenient extra security
I have also have the Milenco external door lock, a visual deterrent as well as effective.

The Fiamma hab door security lock that I ordered on Saturday arrived today.
Unfortunately, it wouldn't fit as the mounting plate is too wide for the door frame of our mh.
So I had to resort to attacking it with a cutting disc equipped angle grinder - bit ironic really!
