Hab check in doubt...advice please.

Service interval for the commercial van is 2 years assuming it will do loads of miles. I would still change the oil yearly, aka a low mileage service. Modern synthetic oils are not overly tolerant of sitting in a little used engine for a couple of years

I view the hab check a bit like my cars mot.......doesn’t really matter what’s happened in the previous five years, it’s the current position which is important. As far as I can see it’s simply a way of the manufacturer trying to get customers to come back to them for an annual giving of money to them in the hope that they will honour a ‘guarantee’ against damp etc. I asked a dealer what difference the hab check would have made if I found dampness in between the annual hab check dates and he was unable to answer. The company should guarantee against dampness etc within five years of purchase whether it is checked or not. It’s a rip off to get more money out of you.

I havent seen any mention of the business name unless Jim has already removed it.
Much good advice here removing threads is not a good idea unless for legal reasons, others in a similar position may be informed by it.

No down arrow..I've messaged Jim...is he the only moderator on here ?
Actually I wouldn't worry about it as they seem to come out of it very well if all the reviews are real.
