We shall be touring Greece in the MH in Sept/Oct for our second time in the MH.

I know the Greek coast from my 30 years sailing there but not so much inland.

We are not so interested in going to the tourist spots, just to quiet villages/towns with chill-out cafes/tavernas and some nice views.

We use park4night etc. and I know PJ Greece Stopovers. but in my view parking in Greece is accepted in most places.

I would just like some suggestions for those chill-out places that you have enjoyed. Photos would be appreciated.

TIA

Geoff

Thanks. I have read through it but they too were all along the coast.

As is MagBazTravels, except his Northern Greece parts on his trips to/from Fethiye.

Don't hold your breath on photos as we are not good in that department.

We went to the Peloponnese in June/July 2017 and it has been the highlight of our relatively short motorhoming lives.
Although we did mostly stick to the coast, as we love swimming, we did go inland. At the risk of boring you, I put a link to our blog. May and June 2017 are the relevant dates and there are plenty of photos.

We had planned to go back in September/ October this year but for various reasons we can’t. Maybe next year!
Have a great time!

Our recent Greece/Crete trip was mainly around the coast of the Peloponnese but I’d agree that Mystras is worth a visit:

As with any of the tourist hotspots if it’s in the height of the season it’s best to arrive early or late to avoid the coach parties.

Kosmas, charming little village up in the hills SW of Leonidio, nestled under the trees for respite from the heat, plenty of places to eat, overnighting behind the church. Its on my map Geoff. ;)
