Hello everyone. I would like to install a 7 inch GPS Radio on 2010 Fiat Ducato chassis. Has anyone does this? Can they recommend a model? Pls advise. Thanks. M

I fitted an Extrons android double Din unit to my 2013 Fiat, no probs all leads connected just had to buy and additional adapter for the TV antenna and a facia panel. They don't do my model anymore on e-bay but they have others. Mines been running for 5 years now without a problem.

I have used pioneer avic systems for years, on the whole they are very good, but having used non camper models and camper specific models, apart from being able to input your sizes of your particular vehicle, they are the same, i think the camper specific ones are a waste of money, i have had both and they route exactly the same, even when i have lied to it and told it that we were either massive or tiny, they all still give the same route.
As for models, you could do a lot worse than avic f70, f80, f88, not the cheapest but work fine, and have stuff like android auto, use google maps on them etc, makes them in my view quite versatile

Sorry for hijacking this post but interested in , new headunit for 2016 ducati to replace hated uconnect radio. Interested in some of the models mentioned but 2 questions spring to mind. Do any of the branded radios referenced here support steering wheels controls and there are fiat specific menus on the uconnect. I presume nothing major lost taking it out?

Thanks and apologies all in one!

You can buy looms to connect to the steering wheel controls for most units.

If you mean one with Satnav, rather than that better to go for a unit with Andriod Auto & Carplay so you can link to your phone for navigation apps. Gives more flexibility and no expensive map upgrades.
Easy enough to fit a double DIN unit you just need to cut the central bar out of the surround.
I totally agree, CarPlay certainly works. I have a cheap Chinese unit which doe s the business linked to the navigation apps (Google Maps, Apple Maps, Waze or Here we go. All of these work, Waze will work off line. forgot to say the unit came with the correct connectors but not for the remote display which on my 2009 fiat was only to tell me which channel I was on.
