Good places to park up for Barcelona etc (1 Viewer)

Hi folks. We are thinking of heading to NE Spain. We have only had one brief trip there many years ago and feel we need to spend a bit of time there. So, we usually use sosta or Stelplats but will stay on full sites if we must.
Has anyone got ideas of good places to visit in the area and specifically where might we stay to visit Barcelona.

We think we want to stay in Spain for a couple of weeks driving down from Calais and back.

We had a couple of days in Montserrat 2 years ago - fantastic place - take the rack railway and funicular up to the monastery and mountain.

But ... more importantly for your query - it's only a quick train journey into Barcelona. Most people are coming from Barcelona to Montserrat for day trips, but on the flip side, we met a few people who we're overnighting in Montserrat and taking the train into Barcelona to go sight seeing.

Camping Barcelona at Mataro. You really need an ACSI card or it’s pricey. They run a free daily shuttle service in and out of Barcelona. Very good service.
