So I have bought a new Globescout and when I enquired about a TV mount (it comes minus a mount) they said they didn’t recommend fitting one above the bench seat as it’s the bathroom wall and not recommended/ designed to take such a thing
The salesperson suggested going down the MIFI/WI-FI route and using a tablet
what does everyone else do ?

I do have a original equipment TV mount in our Burstner Motorhome but don't useit. Considering the distance we would be sitting from it and size of TV it would accommodate I find using a laptop just as good. We just put it on the table in fornt of us.

No mifi for us - just a cheap additional phone with the hotspot switched on. Of course switching the hotspot on your own main phone would work as well but we like to keep our main phone on our regular SIM and then buy a data SIM for the hotspot phone for when and where we need it.

Works well for us but then I'm not an avid live TV watcher. We pick and choose and watch on catch up - BBC iPlayer, All4, etc.

I have a globecar roadscout. I had a tv mount on the bathroom wall. whilst travelling the Avtex tv is taken of the mount to avoid dmage and strain. I have also got mifi fitted for internet access in those places where the signal is low as I needed that at on stage. No problems after 40,000 miles in the last four years or so.

Phil at Rhinoinstalls was brilliant in his advice and installation. https://www.rhinoinstalls.co.uk/

Is there something about the Globescout bathroom wall they aren't telling their customers?

I am VERY reluctant to drill and mount anything on the walls of my van.
Mrs Poppycamper pestered me to fit something in toilet to hold bit snd bobs..managed to find a stick on shelf that works well

I have an Adria Twin so essentially same layout. TV racket is mounted onto mfd base which is glued to the wall. I find the TV location too high and uncomfortable to watch after a while, wanted to remove it but as it’s glued I cant. Much prefer using a tablet on the table in its cover stand with WiFi as TV reception is always a bit iffy. TV is here but rarely used.

We put our Campscout Cello 19in TV on the bathroom wall using four screws and sticky pads to help spread the load and we don't dismount it whilst travelling. It's been on over a year and 8000 miles and ok so far....

We use a small router or a mobile phome to connect to for watching TV.

This is our Avtex TV mounted on the bathroom wall in our Globecar Campscout. Works well with no problems, the spring is used to secure it while travelling.

On my Globescout I got a folding computer monitor stand ( folds up against the rear of the tv) and attached it to a 19inch12v tv, keeping it in a padded TV bag under the table. On the odd occasion we watched tv we unfolded the stand and popped the TV on the kitchen plugged into a cigarette lighter socket I had fitted. 2 minutes to set up and put away.
