Glenmore or Moffat

Is Dingwell too far up for you? short walk into town from site

CCC ap Perth is open but again may well be full by now also CC site at Culloden is open and you should be able to get s bus into Inverness

Oh well. Looks like there is no room at either Tarland or Glenmore with electric. Back to the drawing board.

Maybe not what you had planned but Brighouse bay site near Kirkcudbright are open and they normally have a band and party for hogmany, really lovely walks and beach next to site and site facilities very good.

I am watching you closely, trying all over Scotland for New Year, I know you lot do Hogmanay properly but everywhere seems to be full :-(

Oh well a different place entirely. We are off to Oban for Hogmanay. There seems plenty to do and campsite is a quick 2mile taxi ride back.
£20 per night with EHU if anyone else is till looking for somewhere. Hoping to get into the ceilidh going on :)

We managed to get tickets for tonights free festival here in Oban :) Wish I had a good dance partner for the ceilidh, mum will try, bless her but she has asthma so dancing will be limited. Music rehearsals going on now, sounds like a fab night ahead.

Have a great night and hope the weather is kind to you, if it wasn't for a firework display near our cabin I might have been in your area tonight but have to think of my dogs.:xsad:

We have the dog with us but hoping the firework display will be over quickly. Will leave the radio on for the dog.
Weather has been raining all day.

I seem to remember walking into town from the carpark and looking to the left down a small cul-de-sac. Couldn't quire believe my eyes so went down to have a closer look. Right there in somebody's front garden was, believe it or not, a Spitfire! What a surprise!
p.s. just looked on streetmap and it's called The Glebe

I'm sure if you really want to go to Moffat you could wildcamp quite easy in or around town, there's a nice car park just as you enter the town from the south M74 and you could park down by the Co Op loads of space and nice and quite
