I have a German Frankia with a Alphatronics system. I am currently in Girona and receive many free German channels through the Astra 19 satalite, but when in select Astra 28 the dish just searches all the time. Is this because I am outside the Astra 28 window? Is there anything I can do other than learn German ?

You need to download the satellite frequencies for UK channels and download them into the satellite receiver Mine is in the TV and done via a USB I tend to lose uk signal around Lyon southwards and Berlin Eastwards, Snipe system
Let the dish spin for as long as it needs to, if it hasn't acquired in about 20 mins (and you have line of sight to the sat) then the Teleco controller needs an update. Details here. https://www.telecogroup.com/en/support
