Hi all, new MH, fitted with twin tanks. Have a look at the photos please. Are the tanks full or empty, because we have no gas.

Second question, i went to service station to fill up and it only took 78p worth of gas.

Do i need to turn the black handle to fill, after switching off at both tanks. To be honest I'm a bit confused. Gaslow instructions don't show how the black handle works.

Many thanks
Dave.

Glad you’ve got it sorted. When I looked at the photos I thought they were showing empty as that’s how mine look when empty…….after filling mine they never reach to the end of the green section. 🤷‍♂️ (y)

I've recently put a Gaslow 11Kg tank in my van. The other spare tank is a 6Kg Calor cylinder.
When I first went to the garage to fill the Gaslow it only took about 70p. I then tried the other lpg pump and it took about £1.20 and indicated mid yellow on the tank gauge.
Not having any experience of these systems I still thought that can't be a correct reading so I filled again at another garage. It took another £8 or so and now indicates near the top of the green segment on the gauge.
I'll be using the gas on hols and will do another fill and see how that goes. All another experience😀.
Don’t keep trying to fill a full bottle if that’s what you mean, you can get problems if you overpressure them 👍

I ran out of gas for exactly the same reason as you! New ( used) van. No idea whether full or empty by looking at guages. Went to fill the tanks to check and the pump wouldn't put in gas. I assumed tanks were full. I ran out when we had got to our weekend destination and had to leave to get gas ( 30 mile tripp each way).
I now know the guages never get to the end of the green bit even when full.
