Absolute beginners.
Hello all, I am trying to convert my single regulator to a dual manual switchable type. I specifically want the manual type as being empty headed I will eventually end up with two empty cylinders  . The metal feed pipe to the vans gas manifold is shown in picture one, alongside the Gaslow cylinder I have converted to a standard POL fixing.
Photo 2 shows a vernier measurement in imperial size of the male thread of the flexi pipe that fits into the vans metal supply pipe.
What size is that threaded male connector in BSP? I think will need some sort of adaptor to attach the new switchable regulator to the vans metal union pipe.
This is the regulator I had in mind for the job, this has a 3/8" BSP female connection on the bottom as standard. 20220109_130040.jpg20220109_140419.jpg

Thanks in advance for any help.
Mike.

The male fitting has a light angled shoulder on it to pull down onto the angle section on the spigot end.

This is a metric fitting to suit 10mm hydraulic tube and it has a distinctive style olive, I'm just trying to work out if you're has the same style olive fitted ? I wasn't sure if the black line on your pic was an O ring or a shadow ?

I'll need a better look and photo, which it's a bit dark to get at the moment, but the fixed metal pipe in the van has an "O" ring at top end.
Thanks.
Mike.

absolutely definitely a compression fitting as standard across the industry. Either 8mm or 10mm, so parts are very easy to source. When changing the regulator, if there is ANY distortion to the olive, I cut the copper (sometimes steel) pipe and renew both nut and olive

You are seriously overthinking with the vernier and thread pitch for such a simple job

Hopefully, a better, and thus more informative photo of the female vans side of the connection. Defo a rubber "O" ring at the top.

That’s a standard GOK gas fitting but the thread will not be bsp .
Do not use the red propane regulator you have shown in your original post , it’s the wrong pressure , incorrect flow rate for leisure vehicle use and has no over pressure protection built in and is only a single stage regulator .
Message me if you you need any help .
We keep several hundred leisure vehicle gas regulators in stock along with thousands of gas fittings.

Hi Mike
Here’s the link I promised you
This is the GOK Caramatic Drive one crash safe regulator .
We do have some old stock Truma CS regulators on the shop too .

Many thanks, I'll have a look at that.
I can confirm the vans pipework to the vans gas manifold, et al is 8mm steel.
The appearance of the pipework being below the cylinders is a trick of the camera, the tip of pipe is actually just above the cylinders outlet.
Regards.
Mike.
