Gareth & Phil have fun in Spain 2025.

Thankfully we had a break in the rain, all is good. I did our meal prep for later and phil did a washing load.
The beef stew and dumplings was delicious, although I did use up the last of our atora suet for the dumplings.

Try to find the sun again if I was you. We only came home from Panama yesterday and are fed up of the cold already. Where are we going for our summer sun this year? Flippin Iceland in June and July! I doubt I’ll take my fleece off all year now bah humbug.
Which Iceland are you going to , ours never has any trolleys.

Regardless of the weather is think we will do Zamora and then Astorga next.
Ahh! Astorga.

The Quo Vardis statue, 4 (yes! 4) chocolate factories, Goudi's Bishops Palace (stunning in the early morning light) and the local meat eaters menu.
Remembered with fondness

Liked Placensia, apart from the local beggars (who were not locals, I think) pestering you at the alfresco eateries 😕
The only beggar we saw was a very loud one outside the cathedral although there was numerous scum about which left us alone.
Don't let this put you off lots of nice persons as well and an easy walk into the city.

You must have arrived too late and missed it. It was 18° here on Monday. 🤣 OK not as good as 30° but better than the 5's we have had. 😊

You’re correct Lenny, landed at Heathrow at 4.40pm so I suppose you could blame us really. We were watching the temperatures drop!

At least I’ve had some real chocolate plus a decent pudding. Off out for coffee and cake today plus lunch with the girls tomorrow. The food porn on this thread has kept me going!

We arrived at Salamanca, went to the free aire that has servicing, served then topped up with lpg, we have stayed on this one before and it's OK but can get noisy early am.
Decided to locate to the other aire which I don't think was here last time we visited Salamanca and it's a nicer location.

Wow wow wow. I forgot hiw beautiful Salamanca is.
However you will have to cope with just our lunchtime pictures which was amazing.
We have even decided to stay 1 more day to have lunch here again tomorrow.
A menu del dia for €25, it was sublime.

Love the photos but everywhere looks almost deserted if people, reminds me of driving through French villages. Is there a reason for the absence of people. Even the Plaza de Espana looks almost deserted in Salamanca. I’ve bookmarked that restaurant

It's not as busy as the last time we visited, however I'm usually phils blocker in the photos and he's patient in gaining good shots without tourists in them 😁😁

visited the motor museum and it was lovely, nice to look at all of the different cars and vehicles.
Great photos.
I can't say I am a motor nut but do enjoy motor museums.
As you say great variety of vehicles there.
Good to see a few fancy British makes.
The Triumph motorcycle visitor centre is near us and worth a visit also Coventry motor museum.
The best for us though is the Swiss National Motor museum in Lake Lausanne.
We were lucky enough to be there the weekend when anything drivable is taken out on a tour around the City. Impressive.
Chris

We have been disturbed by noice whilst sleeping before but never deliberately woken up.
Last night somebody woke us both up from banging on the side of the motorhome, we then heard laughing and the sound of a car speeding away, quite disturbing.
Anyway no damage except It took me a while to get back to sleep.
Just an idiot with no respect for others.
