Hi
With our new Morelo we are having 3 months chasing the sun in spain.
We boarded the Santona 2 night ferry from Portsmouth to Santander, arriving at 8am on the 28th December. Our return ferry is also from Spain at the end of March from Northern Spain back to the UK.
We are planning to call into Haro in the Rioja region to fill up with wine, beer, and food on the journey to our overnight sleep spot at an aire on the outskirts of Zaragoza.
I will try to add some interesting photos especially food pics 😃 as I myself and my husband are both involved in the food industry and we both love to eat and drink.
We have booked all of January with a mix of campsites and motorhome aires, however February and March we are winging it.
I hope you enjoy our travels and please add any information you feel will assist us in our journey.
Full disclosure we have done this trip a few times now but love to find new and interesting things as to do.

We guessed that bit already, have a great trip guys and, we need a bit of a critique of the new van some time when you have 5 minutes free, do you still like the cameras and is the oven OK or too low would do for starters.

Have a good foodie trip... experience what every region of Spain offers....not just rush to Beni and eat what you can get back in your homeland...
It's a busy time here now, which will get busier now the northern European festivities are over...but true festivities are yet to come here in Spain....mainly family events...🇪🇦🥳

We are heading to Spain again and heading to Haro as well, I will be very interested in your info in the bodegas. I don’t particularly like Rioja but I had a 2023 in Palma and loved it. I prefer newer wines rather than aged.

There's some lovely vineyards there. Some of them have cellar doors. In Haro, there are a couple of specialist wine shops, but the alcampo supermarket on the outskirts has space to park up when you shop with a cheap fuel station, we shall be topping up with essentials their tommorow
We have regularly used Muga vineyard as their sparkling rose is very nice.

My mate is on that sailing. He's driving down to the Costa Blanca in his Lotus Exige.
Enjoy your trip🍻

We did notice some very nice cars pulling onto the ferry.

If you haven’t been there before, Morella and Alcaniz are worth visiting and both have decent Aires.
Thank you. We are heading to Benidorm to check in to la torreta camping on the 30th December. I think we will probably pass near to Teruel as its more of a direct route to that bit of coast line.

We can recommend a stay at the Capital of the Rioja region, Logrono. It has a very lively Tapas zone which has a great vibe. Lots of Tapas bars centred around Calle del Laurel.

Within in easy walking distance there is a very large car park with lots of motorhomes staying on hardstanding free of charge. It is off the Calle San Ignacio de Loyola. No services in that car park, but there is now a bourne along the Ave de la Sonsierra with free fresh water and black and grey waste facilities. The City is worth a couple of nights to see it all.

Yes we have been before, loved the tapas scene there.
Phil ended up singing in one of the bars (just for fun not on contract) a few years ago as the lady behind the bar loved opera and he was up for it.

Teruel is a good overnighter for you guys with big vans...cheap fuel and good shipping opportunities..
We liked Teruel and noted it as a very worthwhile stopover in our tour last year

:Looking forward to you exploring the area to do further research for me ! Enjoy

You won’t miss the U.K. weather. 😂
