Games ( board / card based ) for the van ?

Haven't played boardgames for a while, used to enjoy backgammon and mahjong. The one we did play recently is Rapidough, great fun after few wines making rude things from playdough.:xgrin:

We played this on Boxing Day and despite being not overly fond of games I enjoyed it.

Another vote for Rummikub but also the computer version which you can download and which is ideal to practice on.
Another one is Mexican Trains.

:xThumb: We also like KALOOKI very similiar to Rummikub (principle the same)but played with two packs of cards and two jokers.. see www.kalooki.co.uk. :xThumb:

A game called "Cards Agaisnt Humanity" an be very funny depending on your humour.

We ask like Rapidough which is a bit like pictionary but you use playdoh instead of pencil/paper. As the game goes on you ball of playdoh gets smaller making it harder.

One of our favorites and is ideal for two players Mastermind, its the one game I stand a chance of winning
Sadly woman will not play it..
But have now ordered a Tri-Ominoes game as well as the Rummikub..

Sorry, but I hate board games! Mrs W likes them and has always played card games with her family. She even takes a pack of cards when holidaying with her sister.

Moi? Never liked card or board games since I was a kid. Don't know what it is about them - don't have the patience or inclination. Our MH is a card/board game free zone.

"Granddad doesn't DO games" is understood by all the kids, so I don't normally get involved.

That said, I'm not a total miserable git! I did TRY a game over Christmas called 'Linkee'. Boring!

Pack of cards is the first thing to be packed when we go away.

Airport delays? Bad weather? Hold up on motorway? No problem!!!!

Just took a gander and it is £35 ! Thats half a tank of diesel !!

Being a tight wad I do not mind paying up to £10 or £12 for a game but anything more than that.. nahhhh !!! :xwink:

We visit the local charity shops a few times a year and pick up games for a couple of quid. We have quite a stash in the campervan but I can't think of any right now.. We usually end up with the playing cards out.
