Fuse/ Circuit Breaker to inverter

The box yes, but that breaker is really pants. You can’t build a effective DC breaker for that money, it needs to have a KA rating, and test accreditation. DC arc it’s dificult to extinguish, electromagnetic contacts is needed.

Ok Thankyou

I’ll look for what you suggested 👍

Sorry to be a pain the old cogs have been working overtime as I want to future proof.

Would there be an issue if I used a higher rated breaker for now until I up the batteries.

I’m thinking we might get a small micro wave or the popular item, coffee machine.
Along with the hair straighteners 200w and a hair dryer that seems rated around 1000w.

Please tell me if I’m thinking like an idiot 😊

edit was thinking of a breaker rated at 125A but I’m guessing here 🙄

edit 2 I’m happy to buy a metal box with a din rail 👍

edit 3 what size cable would you recommend 😊

As long as the cable is big enough, for the breaker rating. You are protecting the cable.

Blimey speedy reply 👍

I guess I can’t go too big with the breaker rating to start with?

What cable would go with 125A breaker?

Sorry to be a pain I only want to do it once and correctly 😊

If it’s a short ish run, 35mm2 for 125A breaker.

I used a Bojack Mega fuse and box from amazon (sorry not sure how to insert a link), after reading too many reviews questioning the reliability of the circuit breakers. Comments on here also suggested that a fuse would be more reliable. I should never use enough power to cause it to go.

I think the problem with the breakers is the cheap ones.

Raul knows his stuff and the links he has supplied are for good ones.

As with most things you get what you pay for.
You don’t get a Rolls Royce for Mini money 😉😊
