A class

Since 2009
We have just paid £1,250.00 for Cambelt, water pump, pulley belts, small service and mot.
This was last week, we have an a class so expected a bit more labour costs. This was at our local fiat approved garage.

He’s mobile so I assume the overheads aren’t there, as I said above he comes highly recommended so I’ve no worries regarding his work.

Yes that would make a difference in the price.

I thought you was going to a dealer.

Compared to Fiat professional this is very cheap, you would not get a full service with cambelt and break fluid done for that price, not even close.
But he never had the cam belt done, just auxiliary belts

Popped into my friendly garage today where I get any work/mot done that I can’t do as I want to get a few things sorted for my long winter trip.

Ask a price for…

Full service, oil and filters quoted 9ltr so might be cheeper for less oil
Brake fluid change and check all 4 corners
Belt change (aux belts as I’ve got a chain) 2 off aux belt and aircon belt

And a general check over

Comes to £508.35

I think that’s not too bad do you…?
That’s a very good price just paid £1500 for full service and wet belt on transit at fords😳😞

Just booked mine in for a Premium service and Damp check with CamperUK -£600.
Damp check (not to be confused with a habitation check which is very expensive and usually 3 to 4 times more money) normally £90ish so around £510 just for a service which is about right with nothing else being done as this is unlikely to include break fluid and belts of any kind as they are normally extra. I’ve just had a habitation check for £133 and a First Service at Fiat Profesional for £222 which seems pretty reasonable to me. That was in Spain though!

My partner & I are newbies and have a fully adapted motorhome for myself with my electric wheelchair
Seems about right, I’m having mine done end of July. It’s full service plus comfortmatic oil and relearn done for £480 including vat, that’s from a mobile guy who is a fiat master technician and specialises on Motorhome’s, he has very good reviews and feedback so hopefully all goes well.
Ours for the same thing came to to just under £500 which I think was really good 😃
