Looking to find the petrol station with the really good prices coming of the tunnel at Sangate

Much better when you cross the border, although you’ve missed the Spanish Govt freebie of 20c per litre…
Just changing the subject slightly, what's the Spanish tolls like please Harvey?

You’ve got Rita, all is good… 😇
CREEP.
Ahh, but I came close to being stabbed, bringing her down that D910.......and she's not a European passport holder.

Cheers

Jock. ;)

I’m assuming you’ll cross at Irun and head up the mountain towards Pamplona, Zaragoza, Tuerel, then Saville and Benni. There are at most half a dozen tolls before Zaragosa, none after and a steady 20kph as you approach the T booths will see Mango beep and the green light and the arm fly open. No idea what they cost as not been billed yet.

Not a creep, just highlighting you must of had some good fortune in your life… 🤣😇

Almost that very route Harvey, but via Vitoria Gasteiz first using the toll free A15.

Not a creep,
I was joking. ;)

Cheers,

Jock. :)

I gave up on the D910 because I wasn’t feeling great and hit the A10 to Bordeaux…

As a result of Harvey's post I've had a look re this.
The D910 'Piff Paff Puff' turns into the N10 South of Poitiers and is without roundabouts at all.

No good to you Dover-Calais bound ferriers BUT (big BUT)

The above info does not apply to those travelling from Caen.

The N10 South of Poitiers would appear to have been resurfaced and is majority Dual.

But lots of the N10 South of Poitiers has >3.5T 80kph restrictions Derek, even on the dualed parts, with regular enforcement cameras. Well it did in February (as per above, I ‘splashed out’ on A10 this time).

Also lots of no overtaking zones if >3.5T, which is a mute point, as you are following lots of other vehicles doing 80kph because of the cameras, even if you could overtake, you can’t, we’ll probably shouldn’t. (Did I mention the French love for cameras) 🤦‍♂️

Which is the stretch we are on Derek, having used it several times, which then leads on to the A63 for Bordeaux

Apart from the trucks, not many over 3.5t are sticking to the 80Kph speed limit though. At least 3 x French MHs flew past us, none of which were less than 3.5t, with two of of them having double rear wheels on the back axle. They must obviously know where the revenue earning cameras are. ;)

Cheers

I had an attempted scam on my card when I tried that first Total station after leaving the Tunnel last September. Fortunately the bank spotted it. They stopped my card which meant using Sue's card for our trip

I believe French Fuel stations have to publish their prices by law. This is a French Govt website and works really well and is absolutely up to the minute. https://www.prix-carburants.gouv.fr/

Worked really well for us when on holiday in June last year.

Cheers!

We just use the Fuel Flash app. Covers other European countries as well, but not the UK.
