2000 Fiat Ducato 1.9TD McLouis, had an issue with the fuel level needle being erratic, jumping around, not showing full after topping up, so I changed the fuel sender in the tank. The needle was still acting up, so I asked around at another forum and someone linked me to a page saying the instrument cluster can build up static and that unplugging the connector, waiting and then plugging it back in, can sometimes sort problems. I did that, but now the needle is sitting just below half and does not move at all.

Desperately trying to find wiring diagrams or test method for this model Ducato, but everything I find is for the 2.0 and 2.8 models and the electronics don't match what is in my 1.9TD

Our Fiat 2.8 base Hymer had an erratic fuel gauge, thereā€™s a grey multi wire connecting block under dash, just to the right of central cubbyhole (LHD van) undid this and cleaned with contact cleaner.
But I never trust it and always zero trip and note odo reading (trip has been known to stop) and then fill at 300 miles

I will look for that connector. I have been resetting the ODO when we top up, which if fine for me, but we do let family and friends use the the motorhome, so I would prefer to have it working reliably.

Iā€™ve just looked at mine and I think you have drop the bottom part of dash down under clove box ( only a few screws) , itā€™s been a long time since I did mine
