this was to be our first motorhome. Second hand from a large dealer, waited a month from collection. Picked up on Saturday. Rear bumper had not been replaced with new as promised, just a bad repair, step not working wasn't too happy. On the drive home orange spanner light came on, so parked up and did not stop out as planned that night. Today the van was picked up by a worker this morning to repair step and dropped of this afternoon with step working but, chip in windowscreen, indicators clicking different speeds(they have put different make lights on rear bumper as I would of had to wait 2 weeks and our holiday is booked), and now fans in van rattling(air con). This has been a bad experience, rang up tonight and want my money back. We have not been able to use the van yet, and don't want to drive this abroad to have more issues.
The van is on hp, so I am hoping this is an easy process and to just cancel.

I was feeling a bit sorry for myself today, little dog of 16 had four epileptic seizures yesterday, two in night, I am tired......
But then I read your post and realise that there is nothing whatsoever for my to feel under the weather about. I would have been insecure too with so many little glitches within a day of driving off..... you want to feel the dealer is there to bail you out, and they didn't do enough to reassure. And now you have your money back, a holiday to look forward to.
If you still want to go to France, and you would like a motor home holiday, look here

The site is LeBonCoin, type in camping car à louer (for rental), and a whole bunch will come up. Maybe this would tick your boxes, and you'll have more of an idea what a motor home holiday entails.
I look forward to reading your sequel, and of your finding the perfect, functioning vehicle for you. Bonne vacances!
