Hi, wondering if anyone can help please.
Have had a new battery after winter storage and now the fridge is not working. The fridge is thetford make. There seems to be no power to the control panel as it is not lit up.

I would check all fuses and connections etc Remembering your fridge well generally only work on electric whilst on EHU or on 12v whilst engine running.

Is the rest of the 12v habitation stuff working. If so check the fridge fuses, if not the battery terminals and the main fuses
Did you fit the battery yourself or is it a dealer bodge.

Fuses are all okay. It's completely dead on electric and battery. We have been out in it last week for 4 days.

Was it ever working after winter?
I assume you fitted the leisure battery and not the starter battery. The fridge on 12 volt has nothing to do with the 12 volt leisure system and runs from the vehicle side.
Sounds to me like a fault on the fridge as it's not working from either the starter battery or the 240V which are two independent systems.

A few years.
Control panel should light up at any time. Check the connections to the wiring, mine was at the back of the fridge behind the lower vent.
As it had a new battery check that all lead are attached.

many many years! since I was a kid
2 fuses for the fridge, often right by the battery. A low amp one for the controls and high amps for the element

Still needs 12v from the leisure battery for the electronics for it to work & he said the panel was dead so it's a leisure battery problem.

I had a similar issue when I fitted a new battery....it was a fuse but looked ok visually I only found it when I pulled all fuses and re-fitted them.....and also putting my specs

Not even wearing specs is good enough a couple of ours went and only showed up as faulty with a multi meter, love that bit of kit.
