Sure you can come darling, I couldn't get through two weeks of not eating :Rofl1::Rofl1:
The best bit is that I booked the ferry with Sea France, return trip for £119 :thumb:
How good is that? When I checked P&O they were an awful lot more expensive at £185, so again this year Sea France are looking like the real operator.
Can't wait now :thumb:

Keith

trying norfolk next.
norfolk £83 each way. £166 return. looks like sea france this year,

Hi John

When looking at prices online, if you don't like the price, exit the page and start afresh. You will be offered another price..... and so on:Wink:

Hi John
Try clearing your cookies and having another go, the system will not "remember" that it has quoted you already mate... I think that adding a toad or trailer adds quite a bit to the fare but good luck with it and hope that you can get a bit better price :thumb:

Hi All

Have asked Bob today how many pitches are still available......

'We still have five unreserved pitches for the period 9-16 August.'

If you are interested in this one, there is still room:Wink:

Scotjimland and Fordy are there at the moment and will hopefully keep the barbie warm for us!

Looking forward to it Sharon. we may have friends who will follow us down. Our biggest problem is waiting for gwens Hip operation. We are in the hands of the NHS as to when they feel like doing it. We are booked in anyways and keeping everything crossed. Havent booked a ferry yet but will do soon. Might be advisable under the circumstances to go for the refund option that costs a little more just in case we cant go on the booked date. Any news on Woody yet, been following your posts on the subject. Dont know how you are keeping your Kool. Best of luck on it anyways.

Peage costs.

For information

Our total Peage charges to Parc Verger via Paris (RV, class 3) was 78 euro.

Shall be taking a leisurely route down when we go to avoid all those horrible charges.

Got our ferry booked this week Via the Caravan & Camping club who got us a better deal on sea france than using sea frances web site. They also were able to get us more user friendly (daytime not middle of the night ) sailings for the lowest price. We ended up paying £150 but that included the extra charge for our A framed car on behind. It is amazing how the prices jump and by how much for daytime sailings. The lowest prices on the websites are for the hours between midnight and 6 in the morning mainly. Who wants to travel during those hours and then look for a camp site.

I certainly don't did it once and never again.

I am tablet dependant and was disorientated for days after never again.

I contacted Bob at Parcverger this afternoon to see how many pitches are left, and this is his response to me:

'we have three pitches still available at the moment for the week 9th to 16th August. We would be delighted to see more Motorfun members if they wish to join those already booked.

Cheers - Bob and Di'

Sharon & Keith. Gwen has her hip operation at the end of this week so hopefully she will have plenty of time to recuperate so that we can join you as planned in August.

Hi Tony

Please give Gwen our good wishes and hope she makes a speedy recovery.

We are at Parc verger now until the 16th august. There are still places free for the meet originally planned by sharon. Contact Bob if you fancy it.

Hi Tony

We will be arriving at Parc Verger on Saturday 9th. Our ferry is booked for Thursday evening, we intend to overnight near to Calais and to drive the bulk of the journey on Friday. All we need to do now is to sort out an overnight stop for Friday night. We reckon we should be near to Tours which is a 300 mile drive from Calais. If anyone has a recommendation for a stopover in this area, it will be most appreciated. Look forward to meeting up with you and any other Funsters attending the meet.

Chateau Renault Municipal, riverside site.... cheap and cheerful if you can find the signs!

Hi Brian,

There's an Aire at St Maurie de Touraine it's situated in the centre of the village about 30km south of Tours on the D910 (the renumbered N10). It was one of the first aires in France and we have been using it for over 20 years.

Safe travels.

Hi Don

Many thanks for your recommendation, it looks to be ideal in both location and distance. Have just noticed that there is an aire at Neuille Pont Pierre which is north of Tours, we may consider stopping here if our journey down from Calais is delayed by traffic, roadworks etc.

SNG thanks for your posting, will look into it later.

Brisey
