Cannot find phosgene mentioned on either site.

Corrected now. It was on both BBC and on the :dm: websites this morning.

I imagine that someone in the editorial team actually noticed the faux pas

Just seen the ITV news. Behind the reporter was a single demonstrater being manhandled by two police while another half dozen watched. A couple of minutes later two demonstrators being set on by seven police. From a security point of view the police may consider it a success but not good for public relations.

Reminds me of the excessive police action during miners strike.

Talked to a few Miners ages ago now, from the pits in Derbyshire, around Unston and the like.
They admitted they were there to cause trouble, especially after spending the lunchtime in the pub, IF! they were faced off with the Met Police.

They did tell me when the Cornish Coppers arrived, the Super in charge went around the pubs, and told the Miners, "We don't want to be here! Leave us alone and we'll leave you alone! Attack us and you'll regret it!"
The Cornish Coppers had a peaceful time by all accounts.
