Since july 2009 And Still Going Strong
I think as long as you avoid the bigger towns/city’s and places where there’s access to the motorway should be okay, we’ve driven main roads from leaving the tunnel last Monday and only got held up for a very short time around Poitiers. Today we’ve dropped down from just south off Perigueux to Mont de Marsan and didn’t have any problems at all.

Don't speak to me about French farmers!

300 km round trip yesterday, which normally takes me less than 3.5 hours took more than 6 as I had to navigate around the blockades at Poitiers.

Lots but slow learner.
From a selfish point of view i hope it's all sorted by months end.
The Brits do do it but in a more restrained sort of way with apologies, the Frogs go for it with absolutely no apologies. And all power to them.
I see they are at it in Belgium anorl.

No , I can't let you say this. They do... it's just not what you hear on the news (probably more on English News even) Here especially on local news, their words are part of the news. Also, they talk to us , people, when meeting us on the roads. The general replies you get from the French population on the news are "we support them, they need more help, it is not decent to let them die while we can offer our support". You must know that a farmer suicide every 2 days!!!!! 300 farmers killed themselves on the last 2 years. So , just take little roads, take your time, enjoy the scenery, and enjoy their vegetables and fruits in the small villages. You'll be happy on both sides. Going slower and faster, eating good stuff!

Im trying trust me ,had 3 days of it now .Sorry .
I do understand, believe me. At the moment I'm trying to see how I can manage to make my way to Rambouillet (by car) to visit daughter and grand son and SIL of course. I work every single day of the month having only 1 week end /month . I had to take a day off on friday to try and get there in time to see them.... something like 6 or 7 hours...? and back home in time for work. 650 kms! and I have to think of all: bed, dry toilets, food, everything in case I get stuck somewhere. I might have to drive 11 hours instead of 7hours (including pauses). So , yes I understand.

Oh Dear, My memory was left with old figures
In 2019 (study made on 2015 figures!!) it was 2 suicides /day!!!!
I feel sick indeed!

Bloody French standing up for what they believe in instead of just moaning on a forum about it
Power to the people! At least they are prepared to protest directly rather than mutter into their beards and do nothing as their country goes to poo around them. Shame about people's spoiled trips but that's life . . .

Only a few blocked roads left. We should all manage. Hopefully I'll have less time to drive next week-end when going to Rambouillet. Driving on friday one way and sunday back home. If you see a grey Kangoo with a GB next to the plate, it's me!!! I'll have more time to spend with my loving daughter, SIL and grand son Mathis (For those who have followed his tragical misadventure, he is fine. Very clever little boy, his eyes are nearly sorted. He has completly recovered: physical and mental states that is. State supervision will soon be lifted. I would have prefered it to stay a tad longer, in case he develops some later problems, to make sure state will carry on looking after his medical needs)

yodeli this is not criticism just pointing out our sometimes strange use of our language.
I think you have slightly misconstrued the use of a 'turn of phrase' that was:
absolutely no apologies. And all power to them
I read this as a message of support for the farmers direct action.

In the similar way that you used 'state supervision' to mean a caring, supportive and helpful oversight where as here it could mean protection from abusive parents.

By the way did your young friend get a placement sorted?
