Where is the vid ? - I can't see it on TiK Tok.Check our their latest video. They're having problems with their insurance. Check your own policies, especially all the small print.
Correct I remember hiring a Land Cruiser in NZ and they made it clear vehicle not allowed to be taken on certain roads and areas , two that spring to mine 90 ml beach and skippers canyon . I know they owned the vehicle but small print is there ? Certain restrictionsCheck your own policies, especially all the small print.
It's a bit shocking that their LV fully comp Europe cover turned out to be third party only in EU
But I think they'd still have small print limitations being off road, I'm sure that won't be covered as standard.
They got the cupboards back in place but I think they can expect a few more squeaks and rattles.
Pity they didn't give a proper view of the exterior
...you seem to know exactly what happened, sure you were not the driver!Sharp bend on steep road, it probably tried to stall in low gear - muscle memory response is hit the gas.
Wrestling the wheel around the bend on loose surface, hands slip in sweaty hot weather:
Too much power & no wheel = OOooops !
I've just checked my LV multi-policy - two cars and the Carthago - its saysThere's a video of the rescue mission. That might show the outsid

"Driving abroad: If driving in any European Union member country, Andorra, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Gibraltar, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Montenegro, Norway, San Marino, Serbia, Switzerland or The Vatican State you will then have the same cover as shown on your policy details.
Refer to your cover and limits with our terms and conditions for further information."
I can't see anything else in the small print that brings the cover down to third party only in the EU. I'll call them to check though.
Ahem! Bottles of tonic …..If its anything like my van its got , way too many heinz beans in the top cupboards I suspect.
I think the real story here is sound vehicle + wearing seatbelts = very annoying situation, instead of real disaster. Raise a glass to future trips! Future trips are still possible for you. I worked in the desert for many years, we lost lots of men to rollovers. None wore seatbelts.Everyone now checking their insurance..
I watched all the videos on this incident and they have a very stoic nature and handled the situation very well and there hands on approach saved this situation turning into a major disaster… well done to them…
And to be brutally honest the question for me is: if my DIY Transit camper rolled over, how well screwed down is everything? Battery?? Water tank??? Tool box?? I am going to make some changes. Sharing real accident information is the best stimulus to improvement.
