For the attention of motorhomers with Spanish-registered motorhomes!

No one goes up on a roof here? Not allowed .Even when I homologated my van & they checked all & everything from the 64 pages of the Proyecto it was all done from platforms & ladders as ,when I asked why, they are not insured for being on a vehicle roof & would be wholly liable for any damage.

Where abouts are you then? here all are independently owned ?

Nothing whatsoever is tested like that here? It is just a mechanical vehicle inspection the same as if the van was empty.

& there is no retest fee either as you have 2 months to rectify any faults for a free second inspection
I would have been horrified if they'd gone on the roof, as you say it was all ladders etc. Plus there's no room left on the roof to stand! Good to know about the 2nd test free if required

The person who posted re the inspection guy on the roof is in Switzerland, by the looks of it...

En serio? That's really picky.

Indeed it is
Norrimac you should post more often on here, I don't see you often!🙂
Pues, en mi pueblo los inspectores llevan an logotipo en sus camisas...

"HDLGP".

Son MUY picky... Cabrones tots.

Anyway, I'm keeping a low profile Peavy. They still have my photograph outside the local Police Station in Scotland.

Underneath it says, "HAVE YOU SEEN THIS MAN?"

Norm

"I'm the only Gay Scotsman in the village!"

In the Spanish ITV inspection stations there are normally mirrors on the roof of the building to check if there are any modifications to the tops of vehicles.

(No, I'm not kidding.)

I'm in Valencia. But the whole ITV system in Spain is at least controlled by one man.

Depending on where you are, there CAN be a retest fee. It varies among the provinces.

But yes, you usually have 2 months to correct it IF it's considered a minor problem.

If it's not, you can only drive it to a repair shop. Otherwise, you cannot use it.

You are wrong, it now written ABOVE, HAVE YOU SEEN THIS MAN?

BELOW is written,
REWARD FOR THE APPREHENSION!

I don't know what the word APPREHENSION means but, Where exactly are you for Christmas? 😄

You can PM, if you don't want others to know? 🤔

None in any of the 3 or 4 I usually use?

or there is 'muy grave' when you can only move it on a trailer or grua. I had a 'muy grave' for excessive lighting'?? Really? same as having no brakes. just removed them in the car park round to the retest lane & passed in 4 minutes. lots of it is nonsense.
