Our first meal in our first joint motorhome, due to childhood memories was aFB pie and beans 🤣
am not a big fan of either, but is a lovely memory we had such a laugh. Not had one since, but i do suggest it every time we see them on special offer.

I thought all the FBs had been sequestered by the IOC for use in the Paris Olympic discus event and practice?
No, there was a dispute over whether it was actually a pie or a covered tart.

Why the plate when it is in a perfectly good tin?

Was it to make a FB pie look posh?
Because those in the know know that you get overbubblage with a FB pie and a plate is essential to contain contamination by said overbubblage . Some people have never lived ! 🤣

The food of gods all in tins :-
Fray bentos pies
Corned beef
Spam
Sardines.
Spot on. Would also add to the larder Mushy Peas (for ones 5 a day of course) Anchovies to be exotic plus Ambrosia Custard or Rice pudding for dessert. Plus our never go without; a jar of Bovril (actually Beefy from Morrisons) particularly in winter! (y)

PaddyM I would have been impressed if you had garnished it with some of that parsley. That would have got you a Michelin star.
