I am surprised you cpuld have got it out of the tin in one piece and that the pastry was crusty underneath.

Our first meal in our first joint motorhome, due to childhood memories was aFB pie and beans
am not a big fan of either, but is a lovely memory we had such a laugh. Not had one since, but i do suggest it every time we see them on special offer.

I doubt even our dog would have eaten FB and she was far from fussy.

Why the plate when it is in a perfectly good tin?

Spot on. Would also add to the larder Mushy Peas (for ones 5 a day of course) Anchovies to be exotic plus Ambrosia Custard or Rice pudding for dessert. Plus our never go without; a jar of Bovril (actually Beefy from Morrisons) particularly in winter!
