Flooded MH advice?

Lovely van, really pleased it worked out :)

@namwaldog. I am pleased that at last it has all been sorted out for you, and without too much hassle and frustration either. :)
I hope you and yours will have many happy times in your Burstner Solano. (y)

Cheers,

Jock. :)

That sounds like a good settlement, hope you have less eventful travels in your smart new van (n)

great news, even with the delays, nice to see a good outcome, amazed everything was still as you left it in Spain as well (y)(y)

like the look of the new MH, does that sneak in below 3.5T as well? :);)

Thanks. Yes rated at 3500kg but I suspect it will have about the same small margin of payload as the Lunar but we managed OK with that. We had a couple of sleepless nights about our stuff in the van but just had to hope everything turned out as it did. Restores your faith a bit!

Just read my own post back to myself, doesn't even make sense to me now o_Oo_O

looks like I was saying the delays were acceptable :(

I think I was just getting ahead of myself with the overall good result, as in the decent pay out, everything still as you left it in Spain and the lovely replacement MH

It's good to hear some good news for once. Well done and happy travels in your new MH.

Congratulations and well done, I bet you are pleased.
It must have been a horrible experience for you but it seemed as though you had a fairly 'easy' time of it considering how some things work out!
Looks as tho you've got a lovely van now, be careful where you park it!:D

Thanks for your 'timeline' post - interesting and informative. Many frustrations and concerns along the way, with plenty of hassle at various stages, but as others have observed a pretty good outcome in the end given the circumstances.

Your new van looks fab. So glad the the event in Spain and subsequent trials and tribulations haven't put you off continuing your motorhoming dreams.

Thanks again for sharing your experiences good and bad.

Have fun and good luck! (y)

Looks Like a Nice Unit?. Assuming it is the Fiat or Puegeot / Alko Base. It could be uprated to 3850kg. If you need more "payload". (and a drop to £165 Road Tax).

As I suggested in my earlier post. (about the "Wet" Volvo`s) It might benefit some future purchaser if the full details where in the public domain?. This would be too tempting for some scroat to try and pull a fast one.?

Great post and ultimately the right result for you. What an experience!
Nice to hear how efficiently it was dealt with.

Pleased for you, great result.

As you said, a few worrying nights but restores your faith with insurance companies.... let's hope we all have that experience if needed

Great new van...(y) I take it you had to put a few pennies towards the ins pay out for it...:D2
