Apologies for the poor quality mobile phone pic, but this multi engined jet was fairly clogging on this morning, it did seem an awful lot faster than the usual planes we see ? I did notice quite a substantial sweep back on the wings and wondered if it was maybe a B52 ?
It was heading NNW at 11:25 over North Cumbria, the usual route to the States via Greenland ?

Heard a strange noise two nights ago and dashed into the garden to see three Bell Ospreys fly over and it was the first time I'd seen them in the flesh.
I was a bit slow with the camera, so apologies for the pathetic picture which I wasn't gonna post, then my neighbour said that Tom Cruise is back filming in The Lakes and the planes are part of the movie.

I can see four out of focus dots and some out of focus leaves but at least he tried
