I've got a 230ah Fogstar fitted. But I've been told that I'm best fitting a dc to dc charger. I pretty much have worked out the wiring, which is simple for the Victron 12 12 30 unit.
Now the thing I need to confirm is the following.
I presume the 2 fuses under my drivers seat are 1, the 3a Small one is for the D+ and presume the big one is for the charge from my alternator. But what I want to confirm is that this fused line is purely for that and not for the fridge or supplying 12v to the EBL?
As it would be the ideal place to disconnect so the alternator is nolonger connected to the leisure battery.
Your advice please?

Actually there should be three fuses: the 3A D+ fuse as you say, a 20A for the fridge 12V heater element supply, starter trickle charge and starter voltage measurement, and a big 50A for the alternator supply to charge the leisure battery.

Removing the 50A fuse will cut the charge from the alternator to the leisure battery through the split charge relay. The split charge relay will still click on and off, but because there's no supply to it, it won't do anything. That 50A supply doesn't do anything else, so pulling the fuse won't effect any other functions apart from the leisure battery charging

Anyone know where it is on the Globecar?

My van is in having the air suspension fixed again, so I can't look for the 50A fuse, can anyone advise where it is in the globecar?

Not specifically, but I would expect it to be within about 300mm of the starter battery.

Got my van back from SAP.
Here's the fuses I've found.
First photo is near the Cab battery.
Second near the Habitation battery.
Can anyone tell me what each one is for?

Looks like Globecar have fitted 40A fuses instead of 50A. Removing the 40A fuse by the starter battery should cut off the supply to the split charge relay, without affecting anything else. That 20 fuse is probably the fridge heater element supply, and that wire is also used to trickle charge the starter battery when the mains hookup is connected, and to measure the exact voltage of the starter battery without the voltage drop that would happen if the '40A' wire had been used.

By the way, that 2A fuse near the hab battery is for the dedicated voltage measurement wire (sensor wire) so that the EBL knows the exact hab battery voltage. If that fuse isn't there, the EBL stops working.

It's a 50a near the starter battery, the 40a is near the habitation battery.
I've no idea what the 15a one is for
